MEET THE BOARD
A Message from Scott Henry, Chairperson
"A group of us thought we could do Thanksgiving morning a little better. We wanted to create more than just a race—we wanted a place where families, friends, and neighbors could gather, enjoy great food, music, and a fun finish-line atmosphere. From the very beginning, it was also about giving back and creating an event where everyone feels welcome, regardless of age, ability, or background. Looking back, it's been incredibly rewarding to see our community embrace that vision.
Participants, sponsors, charities, volunteers, and our board members' families all play a part in making it happen. My own family has been involved from the very beginning—from designing our original logo to welcoming participants at the front registration table. That welcoming atmosphere, created by so many volunteers, is one of the things I'm most proud of because it sets the tone for the entire morning.
One thing sports taught me is that nobody wins alone. I've always admired people who take pride in their role, support their teammates, and find ways to give back to something bigger than themselves."
